Fragrant incense to the skies

Anyone who has been through a construction project knows that there are always surprises. We’ve had a few- a water main break and the inevitable slow downs that come with building projects. But in construction, as in life, if you look for them, there are also good surprises! We would like to share one with you. As one of the walls was being removed upstairs in the youth corner, we got a glimpse into the attic of the sanctuary and found stunningly exquisite work in the beams and roof that comprised the sanctuary built in 1953. They took as great of a care building the sanctuary then as we are now. This peek into the structural integrity of our building won’t last long, but maybe one day as you’re sitting in the sanctuary and your mind wanders, it will wander up to the roof and back to these fleeting images. We pray that every Sunday, the praises we lift will be as beautiful to God as the rafters which hold up our church.
“Now from his courts let praise arise, like fragrant incense to the skies….”
Pastor Lindsay

There are so many things which have good fragrance. It is said that rush my essays also liked some good things. We can see thing in our surroundings and like to pick such things. We like the great fragrance of some things.
