“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
The new lighting is being installed in the sanctuary! Without light, we wouldn’t be able to see during our service. Jesus tells us that we are supposed to be light in the world. He gives us his light to reflect. Just like in the picture, we look up to the source to see who is the true light. Our lights should point not to ourselves but to Christ, who lights the way for all the world.
