Meet The Pastor

On Sunday, March 19th the membership voted unanimously to approve the call for Matthew Beach as the new pastor of Heights Presbyterian Church.  Matt will be serving HPC part-time (approximately 25 hours per week) as he also works on his PhD dissertation.   Please plan to attend worship and welcome Rev. Beach!

Matt Beach was born on Galveston Island. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hawaii and Master of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He is currently working on his Doctor of Philosophy in Theology and Ethics from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA, specializing in eschatology and utopia. He loves being outdoors, tinkering on air-cooled VWs, and reading books. He lives in Galveston with his dog, Macrina.
